Turning in Fees and Fundraisers
Turn-in Tuesdays are back!
There will be a board member booster at the school on Tuesdays from 2:30 to around 4. They will be in one of the practice rooms, so that we do not disrupt the sectionals. They will have dodge truck tickets and will take entertainment books.
There is also a turn in box just outside the Mr. Sisco's door. There are envelopes and stickers. Please PRINT your first and last name and what you are turning in and why (i.e.. 50.00 for truck tickets or 100.00 for 5 enertainment books). If what you are turning is too large for the box, please write on an envelope what you are turning in and give it to a band director. They will lock up the item for us. The box will be emptied regularly.

Be a Volunteer - Here's How!
The success of the Band Booster Club hinges largely on our parents stepping up as volunteers for all the various fundraisers and activities sponsored by the club. As a volunteer, you make a huge difference in the high school experience for the best group of kids at Fossil Ridge.
Volunteering is easy to do! Follow these steps . . .
STEPS FOR SIGNING UP TO VOLUNTEER
2) Enter frhsband in parent sign in space. Click Enter Charms button.
3) Enter your child's student ID# in the student password area. If you don't know it, just ask your son or daughter-they all usually have it memorized.
4) Click on Volunteers and go to the event for which you are volunteering and click on Show Volunteer Needs. Enter the requested information.

Homecoming Week!
 Truck Tickets - We started passing out Dodge Truck Tickets last night. You can check out 10 tickets at a time. Each ticket sells for a $5.00 donation and the person who buys the ticket will be in a state wide drawing for a new 2010 Dodge Ram Truck. The money raised will go toward fee waivers. You can pick up tickets at the game Friday night or Next Turn-In-Monday after practice.
Concession Stand Volunteers - Last but certainly not least, the concession stands needs help at the game Friday night. Please sign up on CHARMS.

Drumline Does It Again!
At the Lonestar Percussion Competition Nov.15th in Lewisville, the Fossil Ridge Drumline finished 2nd in the competition out of 22 schools competing in Division I. Also our pit was named Best Front Ensemble!

Thanks for a Great Performance at UIL Finals!
The Panther Regiment Booster Club would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to the Fossil Ridge Panther Regiment for a fantastic performance at the Alamodome in San Antonio in the 5A UIL Band Competition. Our Regiment performed incredibly well and we are so proud of them!
Thank you to all of the Booster volunteers that made the trip possible. It takes everyone of us to move that small army! The sponsors, the tentmakers, the pit volunteers, the ones that got the food together, the people who worked in the concession stand, or did anything that helped our kids were all an integral part of what the Regiment was able to accomplish.
Finally, Thank you to Mr. Sisco, Ms. French, Mr. Lowe, Mr. Prudhomme, Mr. Starling, Mr. Seth Barnett, and Mr. Barnett. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the Regiment. Your teamwork has laid the foundation for many successful seasons to come for our Regiment!

Couldn't make it to Odessa this weekend? You can still watch the Panther Regiment performing in preliminaries and finals by ordering a DVD. You can purchase:

- DVD 3 (Finals, Evening Performances) which includes Fossil Ridge, Keller HS and Northwest, along with three other bands

Introducing Your . . .
UIL STATE FINALISTS!
18 5A Bands from Midland/Odessa, El Paso, Lubbock, Abilene and Keller went to Odessa to perform in UIL Area Competition . . . three of those bands were chosen to move on to State Finals Competition in San Antonio. Fossil Ridge Panther Regiment was one of those three bands! We're also excited that another Keller ISD band, Keller HS, was also chosen to move on to the finals.

Congratulations to the Panther Regiment for earning a 1 Rating in the 5A UIL Competition at Birdville Stadium on October 18! With this rating, the regiment advances to the area competition in Odessa on October 25.

20008 BOA Competition in Arlington
The Panther Regiment performed at the Bands of America competition in Arlington, Texas on October 4, 2008. The band played great and the Color Guard showed off their new uniforms for the first time!

Panther Regiment Drumline Named Outstanding Front Ensemble
Our Fossil Ridge Panther Regiment Drumline competed in the Plano Drumline Competition on September 27. Our Drumline was named second in their AA division!They were also named Outstanding Front Ensemble!!!
Congratulations to our Drumline! We are very proud of you!

Night With the Regiment
The 2008 Night With the Regiment took place on October 3, and everyone had a great time. Fossil Hill students joined in with the regiment to play a few songs and learn the dance routine from this year's competition show. After that the regiment ran through their competition show for the crowd. The highlight of the evening, however, was the pie in the face! We have lots of pictures online so you can enoy the festivities.

KISD Stadium - 500 Pate Orr Rd N, Keller, TX 76248 - Located next to Keller High School just off of Keller Parkway.
Driving Directions from FRHS:
1. Head east on Thompson Rd toward Spruce Valley Dr - 0.3 mi
2. Turn left at N Beach St - 0.2 mi
3. Turn right at N Tarrant Pkwy - 1.8 mi
4. Turn left at S Main St/US-377 - 2.7 mi
5. Turn right at W Keller Pkwy/W Price St - 1.2 mi
6. Turn left at Pate Orr Rd N - 0.4 mi
PS: If you are riding a bus or loading the truck, you should be there for the final run, which may be around 5:00ish. I do know some of you will be later than that and I know you will get there just in time to load up. We just need to be on the road SHORTLY after 5:00 so that we are not late because of the DFW traffic. Thanks!
